Section 2 of West Coast Expressway opens at midnight, toll-free for a month

Section 2 of the West Coast Expressway (WCE) will be opened to traffic from midnight, taking Port Klang a step closer to becoming the largest logistics hub in South-East Asia.  Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi on Tuesday (Jan 21) announced a month-long toll-free travel on the alignment from midnight. 00:15in the effort to advance the country's infrastructure network

00:19through the implementation of Section 2 of the West Coast Road Plan

00:26which connects the high-speed rail to the high-speed rail in Leboh Raya, Shah Alam

00:34or HCE

00:36which is highly anticipated by the users of Leboh Raya

00:41especially in the area of Kuala Langat and Kelang

00:47Section 2 is in line with Section 1

00:54which has been opened to users on August 30, 2024

01:00which is from the high-speed rail to the high-speed rail of SKBE

01:07with an additional 72 kilometers in length

01:13which connects the high-speed rail of SKBE and the high-speed rail of HCE

01:19I understand that the travel time between Shah Alam and Banting will be shorter

01:27which is 1 hour to 25 minutes only

01:32and at the same time offer alternative routes

01:36which are highly needed to reduce traffic congestion in commercial and residential areas

01:46along the existing route

01:49I believe that the opening of Section 2 of WCE will also bring greater benefits

01:57not only to connect the high-speed rail of SKBE to the high-speed rail of HCE

03:01will be opened to the public on 22 January 2025

03:13And as a sign of appreciation to the users

03:18who entered the WCE Library from TOL SAE Plaza

03:23to the SKBE WCE lecture hall

03:28and vice versa

03:30in both directions

03:32they will enjoy free TOL

03:37for one month

03:40starting tonight

03:43I would like to remind the users who use the corridor from TOL SAE Plaza

03:50to TOL Banting Plaza

03:53or vice versa

03:55that the exception of TOL will only be given

03:59until the SKBE WCE lecture
