00:00In accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:04the Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amena Pangandaman has approved the release of more than Php 30 billion

00:12to cover the regular pensions of military and uniformed personnel or MUP in the first quarter of 2025.

00:20Under Secretary Pangandaman, pensions are an important assistance for retired MUP and their families

00:28even if they quickly signed the release of the funds after completing the required documents.

00:35The Php 30.409 billion will be collected from the Pension and Gratuity Fund or PGF

00:42that is included in Republic Act No. 12116 or the Fiscal Year 2025 General Appropriations Act.

00:50Meanwhile, the Php 16.752 billion will be allocated to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office

00:58while the Php 13.297 billion will be allocated to the agencies of the Department of the Interior and Local Government

01:06such as the Philippine National Police.

01:08The Php 8.530 million will also be allocated to the 34 pensioners of the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority or NAMRIA

01:19and the Php 350.68 million will be allocated to the retired personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard.

01:25The funds will be allocated to the current pension payroll

01:29that was approved by the mentioned agencies last December, December 31, 2024.
