Young players will learn more from their mistakes

Head coach Scott Parker believes that young players will learn more from the mistakes that they make as he prepares to welcome back Hannibal after a three game suspension.

00:00We was here three weeks ago when Hannibal did what he did and that was a

00:04clear mistake and you know he crossed the line that night and he understands

00:09that he's made a costly error which the team at that present moment in time

00:14suffered and since then Hannibal suffered because he's been out for three

00:18games, he's come out of a team, people have took that position so you

00:23know there's been an end and a punishment. Now he, like always, he needs

00:29to understand that which I'm sure he will not make the same mistake again

00:31maybe he will make the same mistake again and that's what young players

00:36sometimes do and my feeling is he'll learn from from that. You never really

00:41you never really take any positives but there's probably no lesser room for

00:48improvement when things are going well if I'm being honest with you and you

00:50never get to where you need to get to without the the crap or the adversity or

00:56the bad performances, the bad results, they're really the most powerful moments

01:00to learn and as young players that's what you need, you need to

01:05understand the journey and you need to be very stable in that, you need to be

01:08realistic, you need to work of course and this cliche of course is working hard

01:14and a real understanding gets you to that position so they're the demands on

01:19and they're the difficulties for coaches because you realise when you're

01:24young there is elements of mistakes and young players will make mistakes and

01:27there needs to be an element of patience with that but if you've got young

01:32players that have an understanding of it and work through their moments and

01:36keep improving then they're on the right track.
