Foster Pittie's Christmas Wish Is A Family

00:00Cardi's about to spend her second Christmas waiting for a forever family.

00:04She's such a good girl. She has the cutest, goofiest little grin. She helps

00:09with everything we're doing. She loves to please her people and loves her training.

00:19She has the softest mouth and takes treats so gently. She makes us laugh all day long.

00:31You're so good at this game. Good girl.

00:36But because Cardi spent her first four years in a crate, she has some anxiety.

00:40She needs to be the only dog in her home. She takes some time to warm up to new people,

00:44even though she loves snuggles once she has time to get to know you.

00:47She's working so hard to get more comfortable in new situations.

00:50Look at me, Kurt. Yes, good job.

00:53She just needs a quiet and relaxed home where she can be herself with parents who understand her.

00:58We'd love to adopt Cardi, but we have two other dogs and it stresses her out.

01:03Good girl. Okay, you stay, sweetie.

01:05We keep them separated and rotate everyone so they each get time with us.

01:09But that means she still spends way too much time alone, just sitting by the door in her room,

01:13waiting for her turn.

01:15More than a year has passed while she's been waiting, so we recently celebrated her fifth birthday.

01:22She enjoyed it, but for us it was bittersweet.

01:25What she really needs is a full-time family of her own.

01:28Last year, Santa visited Cardi at the shelter.

01:31She was so excited and did her signature lean and wag.

01:34This year, she'd love nothing more than a family.

01:37She'll bond quickly with them and make them feel like the luckiest people in the world.
