00:00We've seen the PTV news. The Department of Migrant Workers plans to suspend the shipments of Filipinos to Kuwait.

00:12This is followed by the death of an overseas Filipino worker, Jenny Alvarado, due to suffocation, along with her two Nepali colleagues.

00:21Because of Alvarado's death, 250,000 Filipinos who work in Kuwait suffocated.

00:3090-95% of them work as household workers.

00:36DMW Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak clarified that the suspension is just one of the options

00:44while the other option is to stop the shipments of Filipinos there.

00:51The Department of Social Welfare and Development has distributed 70,000 family food packs

00:57to those who were affected by the volcanic eruption in Negros Island.

01:02The residents of Western and Central Visayas were given family food packs.

01:08The largest was delivered to Region 6, where many families were evacuated.

01:14Aside from the family food packs, the DSWD also distributed non-food items.

01:20The amount of Php 7 million assistance to individuals in crisis situation was also distributed.

01:27More than 200,000 family food packs were prepositioned in Region 6 and 7

01:33if the volcanic eruption continues.
