00:00The Department of Finance announced that the issue of calculating the National Tax Allotment or NTA for local governments has been resolved.
00:09According to Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, the calculations are in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Court in the 2019 Maldonado-Garcia ruling
00:18that gave 40% of the national budget to LGUs.
00:23The mayors of Luzon thanked the government for the transparency and dialogue.
00:29Secretary Recto also added that local governments will have an additional income from 2026
00:36and the government assures that they will get the right portion of the NTA.
