00:13The companies have urged US President-elect Donald Trump to challenge the EU's regulatory

00:18scrutiny against them. One source told the FT the implications of Trump's presidency

00:23were a factor in the review, although they clarified his victory had not triggered it.

00:29The report said the EU's review could lead to Brussels reducing or changing the range

00:33of the probes.

00:35It will cover all cases launched since March 2024 under the European Union's Landmark Digital

00:41Markets Act, or DMA. That is one of the strongest regulations targeting tech giants' market

00:47dominance.

00:48It dictates what the world's largest tech platforms can and cannot do, and can impose

00:53fines of up to 10% of a company's annual revenue.

00:56The FT reported all decisions and potential fines will be paused while the review is

01:00completed, but technical work on the cases will continue.

01:05It added regulators are now waiting for political direction to take final decisions on the Google,

01:10Apple and Meta cases.

01:12None of the three companies or the European Commission immediately responded to requests

01:16for comment.
