00:00Following the release of Abo, the Volcano Canlao was also accompanied by thunderstorms that according to TVOX are signs of a new eruption.

00:26The Volcano Canlao once again lost its thick Abo

00:31which caused concern among residents and authorities.

00:35According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOX

00:39the eruption of Abo lasted for 10 minutes and reached a height of 500 meters.

00:45This situation was accompanied by 14 volcanic earthquakes.

00:50Despite the two weak volcanic tremors that lasted for up to an hour

00:55the eruption of Abo continued from the volcano which confirmed its current activity.

01:01PHIVOX said that the observed scenario now is similar to what was foretold before the Volcano Canlao erupted on December 9.

01:11The Department of Social Welfare and Development, or DSWD,

01:16hastened the prepositioning of more than 100,000 family food packs for families who may be affected.

01:23Region 6 and 7 in particular are being targeted

01:26where the risk is higher if the volcano erupts.

01:31The DSWD's field offices are also preparing warehouses

01:36to ensure proper distribution of aid.

01:40In addition, the Disaster Response Management Group and the National Resource Logistic Management Bureau

01:47have decided to send 40,000 food packs to Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental tomorrow.
