00:00A reminder, obviously you've been paying attention to the news.

00:03I'm sure you have seen the devastating images from around Los Angeles.

00:07Numerous wildfires continue to burn in the greater LA area.

00:11It is very sad for everybody.

00:14I am from that area.

00:16My parents' house, the house I grew up in, remains under an evacuation warning.

00:21It is a trying time in the City of Angels.

00:23A catastrophic wildfire destruction

00:26we have not seen in terms of structures in the history of LA, basically.

00:31So, for a game scheduled, DRS, on Monday night between the Rams and the Vikings

00:36inside SoFi Stadium to end out wildcard weekend,

00:40the NFL is making its early preparations.

00:42If necessary, the game between the Vikes and the Rams would be moved to Arizona.

00:48That's still a long way away.

00:50I really, really fear if this game needs to be moved

00:53because of what that means for the catastrophic and tragic destruction

00:57that would still be continuing around LA

00:59and the logistical nightmare that would create.

01:02I hope it does not have to be moved,

01:04but a contingency plan has been put in place by the NFL.

01:08Had to be done, and it's a smart move by the NFL

01:10because, as we say, the games must go on.

01:12They're not going to delay an NFL game, a playoff game, a week

01:14because that would mess up the structure.

01:16As callous as that sounds, it's just the way it works.

01:19So, moving to Arizona or Vegas, which I thought would be a viable option,

01:22they're going to look to do it.

01:23And understand this because we're not calling for,

01:25well, yeah, Englewood's going to be on fire and the stadium's going to burn down.

01:29That's why they can't play it there.

01:30You're talking about everything around it, the resources, the fire department,

01:34the police department, public resources, which are all spent fighting this fire,

01:37which usually on a game day in Los Angeles

01:40would have to be diverted to another place

01:42that's going to get 75,000 to 80,000 people.

01:44And also understand this as we brought up to start the show.

01:47It's not a dome. It's like, hey, we'll just filter the air.

01:49It's an open-ended stadium, which means days and days,

01:52maybe weeks after this fire is done burning and still smoldering,

01:57the smell in the air is enough to choke you

01:59where you just can't play that football game

02:01or bring fans into the stadium to do that.

02:03So, right now, look, odds are going to like to be,

02:06is it 50-50, they move, but it's good to see a viable option.

02:09If there's anything hanging around where it's even a question,

02:13the game needs to be moved just for the safety of the team,

02:17the players, and the fans alike at this point.

02:19And also the public officials.
