00:00the Rams are looking at the playoffs and looking like a team that could be a problem. What do you
00:04think about the Rams run here in the second half and what they might be able to do here going
00:10forward in the playoffs? Because Cup really has kind of stalled out at the end, really crushed
00:15some of the hopes and dreams of fantasy managers everywhere. But do you think Pukunukuwa, Matthew
00:19Stafford and Sean McVay can carry this roster through potentially a first round of the playoffs?
00:26Well, look, there's there's a crazy stat. Let me pull it up real quick right here relating to
00:31the Rams and just what they do at these late junctures of the season. And we saw it again,
00:37obviously, in this most recent win over the Cardinals. So here it is. The Rams are this was
00:44going into this previous game. So what and what was the final score of this latest Rams game? It
00:48was against the Cardinals. Thirteen to nine. So one game, I would say it was very, very
00:54underwhelming. And I mean, under I want to emphasize the under all that. Right. But but
01:00won the game and didn't cover. Right. I'm trying to remember what the spread was going into this
01:03game. So let's you know, let's because I think wasn't it like five or six? I don't think it
01:09was three. Was it? I'll go back and be correct about this now. Yeah. Well, so the stat go here's
01:16the bottom line. The stat going into the game and we can update it accordingly. Maybe it makes
01:21it more impressive if it was three. I just all these numbers they run together. The Rams 15 and
01:26two against the spread in their last 17 December games, including four and oh in the month of
01:33December this year. OK, so it speaks to again. As you get deeper into a season, talent matters,
01:42obviously, but coaching matters like Sean McVay, as if there were anyone out there that would
01:46question this is a good, solid, fundamental, talented young head coach that has his team
01:54positioned well to play well down the stretch. And it just because of that, I wouldn't necessarily
02:00feel this way if you had like, I don't know if the Rams were led by Jeff Ulbricht or something
02:06like that. I wouldn't have said, hey, at midseason, I am going to reinvent, which is what I did.
02:11I reinvested in the Rams just to make the playoffs midseason. And I think it was plus
02:16250 plus 225, something like that, because I said to myself, as long as this team gets healthy,
02:24you know, at this point in time, they don't have Cooper Cup. They don't have Puka Nakua.
02:28Matt Stafford looks a little dinged up. As long as all those pieces return and you have everyone
02:34playing at their level, this offense, even if the defense does lack a little bit, which it does,
02:42this last game against the Cardinals, notwithstanding, and the previous week,
02:46for that matter, the defense actually looked really good the last two weeks,
02:48but crappy offenses on the other side, as long as this team looks itself offensively,
02:55kind of like the Bengals, right? Like if you were in a position, Cincinnati's not,
03:00but if you were in the kind of division that you could make a run because of the teams that are
03:04around you and get right, and you have the talented offense and truly spectacular in terms
03:10of capability, then yeah, you can make a run. The question for me in the postseason for the Rams,
03:15because as we know, they're the third seed, they've clinched all of that. It's not the offense,
03:20it's the defense. Now, Stafford has not been great the last couple of weeks and Cooper Cup for sure,
03:25you know, it's a little bit of a, you know, no trust list, no fly zone, milk carton, all that,
03:31but Stafford has just been honing in, honing in on Puka Nakua. I mean, he can't take his eyes off
03:38him, but whatever, as long as Nakua is catching the ball, Joe, that's really all that matters.
03:44And he is, the volume has been outrageous. You know, looking at, we can look at some of the
03:50stats on the other side, but doing what they have been doing to this point in time has been
03:57nothing short of remarkable. So now that they're in, they're in the dance,
04:01I think that they absolutely have a path and they were a tough matchup. They're going to be
04:06a tough out in the postseason.
