00:00News from the Philippine News Agency. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. appointed Associate Justice Geraldine Faith Ekong as the new presiding judge of the Sandigan Bayan.

00:12The appointment will be confirmed on Wednesday, January 7.

00:17According to the President, Associate Justice Ekong will replace Amparo Kabutahitang who retired as an anti-graft court on November 2024.

00:29Ekong was appointed in 2016 as Associate Justice of Sandigan Bayan and served as presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 9 in Lungsod, Cebu from 2004 to 2010.

00:46Meanwhile, Ekong will retire from the position of Sandigan Bayan on August 6, 2037.
