00:09Pinangunahan mismo ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. ang oath-taking ni Villanueva.

00:15Ipinaabot ng Pangulo ang kumpiyansa sa bagong SC Associate Justice

00:19sa pagtataguyod ng mandato ng Supreme Court, lalo na sa kanyang matagal ng karanasan.

00:25Itinalaga si Villanueva bilang kapalit ni Associate Justice Mario Lopez na nagretiro noong June 4.

00:32Nagsimula ang judicial career ni Villanueva taong 2002

00:36bilang presiding judge ng Las Piñas City Regional Trial Court Branch 255.

00:42Nagsilbi rin siya bilang acting presiding judge ng Taguig City RTC Branch 267 at Manila RTC Branch 4.

00:50Thank you, sir.

00:51We are very happy for this appointment because it is a, as our new justice was saying,

01:00and I was telling him, that it is a well-deserved appointment.

01:05He has a wealth of experience as a judge, an RTC judge, until 2002.

01:15And then he has then, from 2002, and since 2010, he has worked in the Supreme Court.

01:24And therefore, he is well-versed in all that needs to be done for the proper and smooth function of the court.
