Bristolians Discuss: Do you have New Year’s resolutions?

Did you make any New Year’s resolutions, and have you already broken them? Or do you think resolutions are nonsense? If that’s how you feel, why?

00:00My New Year's resolution, right, that I wanted to do, right, is not to have cakes every day,

00:08it was just to have one cake a day or something, because my doctor told me before, once I had

00:15two cakes and in Closter, then I went down to the sewing shop and bought a shortbread biscuit,

00:21and I went home and dozed off on the sofa and somebody said that was a bit of a sugar spike.

00:25I didn't make any New Year's resolutions, so I haven't had to break them.

00:31We said one this morning, we're going to do what we want to do, not fit in with everybody all the

00:36time. We always tend to, if people say like, do you want to do this, we just say yeah,

00:40we fit in with people, whereas we find people don't fit in with us, so that's what we're going

00:45to do this year. Well I had some cake yesterday, and I went out for a little celebration,

00:51that, and I had a cake and coffee once, so probably not good at the moment,

00:57but I know it's hard to make New Year's resolutions.
