00:00Filipino Q artist Rodolfo Luat shared his career journey with the greatest pool player of all time, Efren Bata-Reyes.

00:11Bernadette Tinoy has more.

00:16Before Filipinos got to know the greatest pool player of all time, Efren Bata-Reyes,

00:22he was the first to show his skills in the 1970s.

00:25According to billiard legend Rodolfo Luat, who is also a member of Angeles City, Pampanga,

00:29they got to know each other in Manila because of his relative's pool house in Avenida.

00:35This is where they met to compete in various competitions inside and outside the country.

00:41In the 1970s, Efren was really good.

00:45Now, in the 1990s, he's also good.

00:49But in 1975, he was really good. He never lost.

00:53From 1976 to 2010, in 1993, I was in charge of the team in Las Vegas.

01:01Efren, our partner, President Gustamante, Leonardo Ondag, and me.

01:11Then, we went to America, England, Poland, Taiwan, Japan.

01:19That's where we were invited.

01:21Aside from the national achievements of Luat, Reyes, and Francisco Gustamante,

01:26Boy Samson also won the 2006 WPA Asian 9-Ball Tour Taiwan Leg,

01:322008 Mani Billiard Cup 9-Ball Open, and many more.

01:37We have a past that we remember from our youth.

01:42We don't have a future. We're still young.

01:48Maybe that's why we were envious of our youth.

01:53Billiards, no one is good, no one is bad.
