00:00The Department of Budget and Management, or DBM, clarified the vetoed projects and the 2025 national budget signed by President Ferdinand

00:08Marcus Jr. will not affect the government's programs.

00:11DBM Undersecretary Goddess Hope Lebiren explained the vetoed projects,

00:16particularly from the Department of Public Works and Highways, or DPWH, were not ready for implementation.

00:22The decision was made after thorough and exhaustive review of the 2025 General Appropriations Act with the

00:28implementing agencies to ensure accurate allocation of funds for the coming year.

00:34The 2025 national budget will prioritize sectors such as education, infrastructure, social services, health, and agriculture.

00:58and infrastructure projects of the implementing agencies, like DPWH or MMDA.

01:05Now, we considered the projects that are not included in the NEP,

01:11and we looked at which ones are implementation-ready, which ones are not yet implemented, and which ones are ambiguous.

01:19So the projects that are not yet implementation-ready or ambiguous were removed.
