00:00In Calamba City, the memories and teachings of Gat Jose Rizal are still alive

00:04after the 128th anniversary of his death for the country.

00:09The details are in the national news of Chris Hedreida of the Philippine Information Agency, Laguna.

00:16In Calamba, Laguna, Dr. Jose Rizal buried the 128th anniversary of the death of a countryman.

00:26Early in the morning, many people gathered in different parts of Rizal.

00:31The Rizal Shrine is the center of celebration in the city,

00:34where the people grew up.

00:36One of the flowers in the shrine was received by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.,

00:41local officials, and private groups.

00:44For the countryman's family,

00:46it is important for Rizal's teachings to serve as a guide for the development of the country.

00:51Because he remains a source of light and inspiration for our Filipinos.

00:59And that is also the reason why year after year,

01:02we are surrounded by flowers and the sun is rising.

01:07As our fellow countrymen,

01:09Dr. Jose Rizal and I draw inspiration from many parts of our lives.

01:16A message of celebration this year,

01:18that Rizal's challenge to the next generation

01:21is to value the rights of each one of us

01:24for a free and developing country.

01:27Now, more than ever, we cannot just be spectators.

01:32Each one of us must be involved

01:35and be an active part of the change in our surroundings.

01:41The change in our society

01:43in the creation of a new Philippines, a new Calambano.

01:48It is important for our fellow countrymen who have courage,

01:52Rizal's legacy and teachings to continue to serve as a guide for many Filipinos until now.
