00:00In the latest news, the Department of Health has reached 142 total cases of victims of gunshot wounds

00:08from 62 sentinel sites that are being monitored by the government for firecracker-related injuries.

00:19A few days before the New Year's greetings,

00:22Hosea Reyes Memorial Medical Center is now all set to respond to our countrymen who will be shot.

00:29Equipment and devices that will be used in the operation are also prepared,

00:34such as hand retractor set, external fixators, hammer, hand drill, scissors,

00:40cement and steel for the removal of bones and cutting of fingers.

00:45The hospital is ensuring that all equipment that will be used in the operation is clean and sterile.

00:52We here at Hosea Reyes are preparing for our New Year's greetings.

00:58We are one with you in praying for a peaceful and safe 2025.

01:05Their message to the public in the danger of gunshot wounds is also tight.

01:19In the latest news, the Department of Health has reached 142 total cases of victims of gunshot wounds

01:26from 62 sentinel sites that are being monitored for firecracker-related injuries.

01:32Of those, 115 are under the age of 19.

01:36127 of them are male, while 15 are female.

01:4173% of the cases are due to illegal gunshots, such as BOGA, Five Star, and Piccolo.

01:48While 60% of the cases are active users of gunshots.

01:52The number of cases of firecracker-related injuries this year is higher than last year.

01:59Meanwhile, the total number of accidents in Lanzangana has reached 418.

02:0568 were reported today, from 8 pilot sites that are being monitored by the DOH for road traffic accidents.

02:13This is 38% higher than last year.

02:17In the latest cases, the majority are not using safety accessories, such as helmets,

02:23followed by motorcycle accidents, and are under the influence of alcohol.

02:27That is why the Department of Health is urging our motorists to be careful and alert when driving

02:34to avoid any accidents.
