00:00Many have been arrested for selling illegal fireworks online.

00:05The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group's operation against these people has not stopped.

00:15A few days before the New Year's greetings,

00:18PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group stopped their cyber patrolling

00:23to monitor the illegal fireworks online sellers.

00:27In fact, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group has taken down more than 115 online platforms.

00:34Of these, more than 50 Facebook pages,

00:40a website, and an audio streaming app account.

00:43In addition, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group is also monitoring more than 200 online platforms.

00:50From December 6 to 26,

00:52PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group has already started eight operations against those who sell fireworks online.

00:58According to the operations, more than 10 have been arrested.

01:02More than 76,000 illegal firecrackers have been recovered by the authorities.

01:09But the violation of RA 7183,

01:12which regulates the sale, distribution, manufacture,

01:16and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices,

01:20will be faced by the suspects.

01:22In the province of Rizal,

01:23more than 400 pieces of fireworks are worth more than P25,000

01:29were destroyed by the police of Rizal PPO and Bureau of Fire Protection.

01:35According to Rizal Police Provincial Director Police Colonel Felipe Maragon,

01:40most minors were caught by the fireworks.

01:45Young people can see on social media websites and apps

01:50the trending fireworks made at home.

01:53The so-called BOGA is a type of illegal homemade firework

01:58using recyclable materials such as bottles of soft drinks or water,

02:02cans of sardines, or polyvinyl pipes or PVC.

02:07The people who use it are children and young people.

02:11It can be blown up because it has a strong flame

02:15because it uses denatured alcohol.

02:20If it explodes, it can be blown up,

02:24it can cause injuries,

02:27it can burn the skin,

02:30it can cause bruises,

02:32and other related injuries that can be caused.

02:36According to the DOH,

02:38most children or minors are still the victims of illegal fireworks.

02:43The Health Department recommends to avoid using illegal fireworks

02:46because it can kill if it is too strong or too weak.

02:50It can also cause cuts in the fingers, hands, or other parts of the body.
