00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development clarified that the assistance to the Kapos Angkita Program or ACAP is not a court-barrel.

00:08The DSWD is against the allegations that the ACAP is used in politics.

00:13According to DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, the barangay officials have nothing to do with the choice of beneficiaries.

00:21Gatchalian said that the DSWD social workers are the ones who process the applications and decide how much the assistance is for the qualified beneficiaries.

00:31The fund allocated to the ACAP program by the DSWD is worth Php 26.7 billion under the General Appropriations Act of 2024 for those affected by high inflation.
