00:00At the moment, the volcano is at alert level 3, but it could still rise to the fourth alarm due to the continued eruption of the volcano.

00:26The volcano has been active for the past few days, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

00:48In this situation, the danger zone could be extended to 10 kilometers or more.

00:53At the moment, the volcano is at alert level 3, where it is possible for a hazardous eruption to occur in the coming weeks.

01:00According to FEEBOX, in the past 24 hours, two ash emissions were recorded,

01:04the highest of which reached 400 meters.

01:0720 volcanic earthquakes were also recorded.

01:10While more than 6,000 tons per day of sulfur dioxide was recorded yesterday, this is higher than December 24.

01:16Bakulkol explains that they are looking at three scenarios.

01:19The magma is rising slowly and will only reach the mouth of the volcano, which may take longer, but the ash is less.

01:26Second, the rapid rise of magma.

01:28Here, it is possible for an explosive eruption to occur, where there may be a pyroclastic density current that is more dangerous.

01:35Third, its activity stopped and the alert level may be lowered.

01:49So, again, if our parameters are close, we cannot lower it.

01:56We have to assess this on a day-to-day basis and check all the parameters,

02:02because our earthquakes are increasing and the sulfur dioxide is decreasing.

02:09According to the Office of the Civil Defense, as of December 26, almost 12,000 families were affected by the eruption of the volcano.

02:17From here, more than 4,000 families are currently staying in evacuation centers.

02:22The government continues to support the affected.

02:25While the DSWD first prepositioned a fund of P31.96 million from the DSWD Central Office.
