00:02because otherwise we won't.

00:04The college football playoff,

00:06I've been really excited about this.

00:08I think.

00:09I was excited that all four games were blowouts.

00:13Just absolute ass kicks.

00:14I hope the second round is better than the first round was.

00:16Did any of those outcomes really surprise you?

00:21No.

00:22Well, yes.

00:23I didn't expect it to be,

00:24I expected those teams to win but not to be,

00:27I didn't expect that much of a one-sided win.

00:30You know what I mean?

00:31I thought, I thought Ohio State, Tennessee would be tight.

00:34I thought Tennessee's D-line was really good

00:37and has a bunch of pros.

00:39So I was surprised that was an ass kicking.

00:41I thought Texas was going to kick Clemson's ass.

00:44And then that was, I mean, if you,

00:46my boy Kelly took Clemson plus 13 and a half.

00:49They have third and goal from the one,

00:51fourth and goal from the one.

00:52Texas just gets a hell of a stop.

00:55I think unfortunately the three teams

00:59with the most questionable credentials to get

01:02into this thing were SMU, Clemson, and Indiana.

01:06And all three of them got their ass kicked.

01:09Actually this question, moving forward,

01:12can they leave it like it is

01:13or do they have to make some tweaks?

01:16I think a gigantic tweak that has to be made.

01:19I think this is really unfair to Oregon, honestly,

01:22is because of the structure

01:24with these automatic qualifier buys, whatever it is.

01:28I, I've made pretty clear.

01:30So if you, if you, if you see these teams,

01:32one through 12 that got into the college football playoff,

01:36I think, you know, SMU and Clemson are the bottom two.

01:40That's cool.

01:41I just, the fact that Arizona State

01:43and Boise State get buys and now Oregon,

01:45who's been the best team in college football all year,

01:48has to play Ohio State in the second round.

01:52And that's just, dude, listen to these matchups

01:54and you tell me who got screwed, B.

01:56Texas gets to play Arizona State.

01:59Penn State gets to play Boise State.

02:02Georgia, Notre Dame, which should be a good, tough game.

02:05Ohio State, Oregon.

02:07But see, this is my thing.

02:08Like, I will tell you this, Jay.

02:10If you're the best, be the best.

02:13Right.

02:14It's nobody's fault that Buffalo, Ravens,

02:19all of them have to go against Kansas City.

02:22You know, what it looks like is Kansas,

02:25oh no, Kansas City has to play the top teams around.

02:29It has way more top teams in the AFC than the NFC.

02:32The NFC team can roll on into the playoff

02:34and Kansas City have to go through the murderer's row.

02:37And then when they get there,

02:38they still handle their business over the last few years.

02:41If Oregon is the best team,

02:42beat every damn body you face.

02:44See?

02:45When I hear people say, oh man,

02:48number one seed should have an easier route.

02:50No, if you're the number one seed,

02:51you're the bad ass, go beat everybody.

02:52I think they should do what they do

02:54in the college basketball tournament,

02:55like where the top 60, whatever it is now,

02:58eight get in and then they reseed it.

03:01I just think the seeding should have been done differently

03:04and the buys definitely should have been done differently.

03:07And I tweeted this out.

03:08I think the most deserving of those three teams

03:11between South Carolina, Bama, and Ole Miss,

03:14I think, you guys know I root for Bama,

03:17South Carolina was playing the absolute best football

03:20of that group late in the year.

03:21I know this.

03:22I know South Carolina doesn't go to Happy Valley

03:24and get their doors blown off.

03:26I guarantee you, we changed up to where you reseed

03:29and if the people play the games

03:31and it doesn't end up how somebody liked it,

03:33I won't do it again.

03:34If you are the best, be the best.

03:37You can't be the best team and say,

03:39well, I want to play all the easy ones

03:41till I get to the finals.

03:42Beat them all.

03:43I think.

03:44Because if you're the best and you got to play that team,

03:47you knock them out and the first time you play them,

03:48you don't have to worry about them no more.

03:50Sure.

03:51I get that Indiana had to get in.

03:53The regular season does have to matter.

03:55I'm not fighting you about that.

03:57But if we just think about how SMU got into this,

04:04they were going to be left out.

04:06So Clemson loses to South Carolina,

04:08but still qualifies for the ACC title game against SMU.

04:11Clemson's up big on SMU, which would have meant,

04:14all right, Clemson gets in, SMU's out.

04:17SMU just has a good comeback in the second half.

04:20They still lose, but that they came back against Clemson,

04:24who had just lost to South Carolina,

04:25was enough to get them in.

04:27But see, that's the thing about it, Jay.

04:29I am a total different thing than a lot of people.

04:32People care about who beat who.

04:35No, it's when you win.

04:37You know, it's when you win the game.

04:39I'm saying that too.

04:40You could have lost to South Carolina in the first game.

04:42It don't make a damn difference.

04:43If you don't win the game you're supposed to win,

04:45it's going to be a problem.

04:47So listen, man, we will never,

04:49because we are human beings,

04:51we will never be happy with nothing that people do.

04:54Because that whole college football thing,

04:57they can't ever do anything that's going to make it fair.

05:01I think you got to re-seed.

05:02I understand you want these home games to be at big stadiums,

05:07but there's just no way Arizona State

05:09and Boise State should have buys.

05:11And now you've got-

05:12Mess around Boise State, Arizona State,

05:14go run through this thing, it'll be a problem, wouldn't it?

05:16Bro, I would love that.

05:18If Boise and Arizona State get to the final,

05:20it'd be awesome.

05:21I just-

05:22What happened, yes, the other day, I didn't like it,

05:25but the teams that were the best,

05:29they showed that they were the best.

05:31They destroyed them.

05:32Sure.

05:33They didn't go out there and pussyfoot around with them,

05:36they destroyed them.

05:36And dude, that just may be how college football playoff

05:39is going to go.

05:40Because ultimately this thing's about cash

05:44and the teams that won and won handily

05:47all spent a lot of money.

05:49Cash moves everything around, not a dollar bill, y'all.

05:52The only team that really was kind of competing

05:54on the same financial wavelength was Tennessee.

06:02Tennessee and Ohio State probably weren't that far off.

06:05Clemson, because they won't do the transfer portal.

06:08Oh, they about to start doing that now.

06:10Yeah, he already took one.

06:11Oh, he gonna do it now.

06:12I don't know what, I feel like Indiana to Notre Dame

06:14and SMU to Penn State,

06:15not that Indiana and SMU aren't spending.

06:18SMU got more money than God.

06:20I just, I can't, those aren't that developed.

06:23When you can't beat a team, you join them.

06:25Bear Bryant, back in the day, wouldn't take certain people.
