00:08rivalries in this sport, regardless of level.

00:13It is not the Dakota marker on the line today between North Dakota State and South Dakota

00:18State as it was way back in the middle of October, NDSU, by the way, winning that one,

00:24with the two powerhouses in FCS football for a spot in the FCS National Championship game

00:31today in Fargo.

00:33It's the two seed North Dakota State welcoming in their bitter rival, the three seed South

00:38Dakota State.

00:39But Lacey Guy, take a look at that line, a three and a half point spread in favor of

00:45the Jackrabbits for the 117th all time meeting between NDSU and SDSU.

00:52South Dakota State, the two time reigning FCS National title winners, will they have

00:57the opportunity, Joe, to play in that championship game to make it three straight?

01:01I lean to South Dakota State because I think they're the more physical defense heading

01:05into this matchup.

01:06And you look at both of these offenses, Cam Miller with North Dakota State.

01:10We saw them battle early in the year.

01:12Colorado ran the football effectively, very physical offensive line.

01:16They're averaging around 195 rushing yards per game on the flip side.

01:20South Dakota State about 243 on the ground.

01:23But you look at South Dakota State from a defensive perspective, holding opposing offenses

01:27to less than 15 points per game, 89 rushing yards allowed per game.

01:33And more importantly, only giving up 193 passing yards to opposing quarterbacks.

01:38To me, that's the difference of why they're favored on the road in North Dakota State.

01:41It's a very difficult place to play.

01:43That building, let me tell you, it gets loud.

01:46It gets difficult.

01:47And both of these teams are battle tested.

01:49I've been in this situation before, but I'm going to take the more experienced defense.

01:54And to me, Kev, that South Dakota State, I think it's a close game.

01:57They might win it by a touchdown.

01:59So my, um, I guess issue here, first of all, uh, ironically, the FCS was very comfy cozy

02:06for me, like a blanket spread of math.

02:08So we've all played one another.

02:12So if you look, North Dakota State has already played South Dakota State this year at home.

02:20Caught a point and a half.

02:21One outright.

02:22Yeah.

02:23What's going on?

02:24So what are we doing?

02:25It's a three and a half year.

02:26All right.

02:27So we can't use one sample size, right?

02:28You can tell very clearly to me, just through the numbers throughout the year, that South

02:32Dakota State is treated as the better team, right?

02:37But I also think when we look at the results here, I don't think North Dakota State is

02:41any type of slouch.

02:43I don't think that this is a team who's way below the level, right?

02:47And I think that's why, to me, you can get a very clean three and a half out there.

02:52And I think when you look for these teams, because we're going to talk South Dakota in

02:55just a moment here, but all of the, the little round Robins all been close, right?

03:00North Dakota won by four against South Dakota and then lost by one to South Dakota, not

03:07the code.

03:08Yeah.

03:09You just, you got to make the coders, but my head spin SDSU and basically nobody's ran

03:16and hit.

03:17Yeah.

03:18Right.

03:19And at home three and a hook, that's, that's not insignificant there.

03:24I like North Dakota state that October 19th day in college football with how great that

03:29it was.

03:30We saw Georgia in Texas.

03:31We saw Alabama and Tennessee the third Saturday in October also featured the Dakota marker

03:37that game again in Fargo, North Dakota state, the bison, a four point victory, 13 to nine

03:44pregame total was 52 and a half stayed well under cam Miller, the quarterback for NDSU

03:49to touchdown tosses, both to Rajah Nelson, including in the final two minutes, that game

03:54winner.

03:55But South Dakota state is elite on the ground, more than 215 yards in that matchup against

04:01North Dakota state, South Dakota state has won the previous two national championships

04:06at the FCS level, looking to make it a three P North Dakota state prior to the Jack rabbits

04:11taking the throne had won for the previous five, nine of the last 11.
