00:00House Secretary General Reginald Velasco has formally accepted the third impeachment complaint filed against Vice President Sara Duterte in the House of Representatives.
00:10In the complaint, the Vice President denounced the culpable violation of the Constitution,
00:15betrayal of public trust, plunder and malversation, bribery, graft and corruption, and other high crimes,
00:22which served as grounds for the complaint, which was filed by several groups of parties, lawyers and other organizations.
00:30According to Attorney Amando Vergil-Ligutan, a lawyer of the complainants,
00:34the complaint was based on the hearings of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability,
00:40where it was discovered that the Vice President misused confidential funds and other issues.
00:48The disbursements were not properly done.
00:52The use of fictitious individuals.
00:56We have instances of the same individuals receiving money from the public,
01:03but these individuals use different signatures.
01:07So the complainants believe that these disbursements were in fact illegal.
