00:00Rosmah Mansour today said that the High Court's decision to free her of 17 money laundering

00:06and tax evasion charges was a belated birthday gift for her.

00:11Rosmah, the wife of former Prime Minister Najib Razak, turned 73 on December 10.

00:16She said this was the justice she was waiting for, adding that she would relay the good

00:20news to her husband.

00:24Rosmah was standing trial on 12 money laundering charges involving RM7.09 million and five

00:30charges of failing to declare her income to the Inland Revenue Board.

00:35Justice K. Muniandi said the charges against her were illegal and flawed as they did not

00:39comply with provisions in the Criminal Procedure Code.

00:44Rosmah still has an appeal pending before the Court of Appeal over her conviction in

00:48the RM1.25 billion corruption case on a solar energy project for rural schools in Sarawak.
