00:00Again, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of PHIVOLCS

00:05has appointed residents in Negros Island to be vigilant

00:09in what is happening around the volcano Canlaon, especially if it rains.

00:13In a radio interview, PHIVOLCS Director Dr. Teresito Bacolcol said

00:19that if the rain increases,

00:21which is accompanied by the increase of the material coming out of the volcano,

00:25it is possible for a lahar flow to occur.

00:27Bacolcol also added that the danger zone was widened from 6 km to 4 km

00:33due to the activities of the volcano Canlaon.

00:38They really need to be vigilant even if they live far away in the 6 km danger zone.

00:44But if they live in the river, near the river,

00:48which comes from the distance of the volcano,

00:51they really need to be vigilant, especially if it rains heavily.
