00:09These areas are surrounded by the 6-kilometer extended danger zone of Mount Canlaon.

00:24Yes, we are live here in Canlaon City.

00:26This is the command center of the LGU of Canlaon City

00:31where the mobile command center of the DSWD Field Office 7 is located.

00:37Part of the preemptive measure of the government is the mandatory evacuation

00:43not only of the residents but also their pets.

00:47The target of the authorities is that from tomorrow,

00:50there will be no human activity inside the 6-kilometer radius danger zone

00:54from Mount Canlaon.

00:57These PNP personnel have already blocked the road

01:01that will enter the barangay Biak na Bato and Barangay Kabagnaan.

01:05All vehicles were instructed to pass through the town of Moises Padilla

01:10where the town proper of La Castellana may arrive.

01:15The authorities ordered the PTV News team to enter

01:19to get footage of the two barangays that look like a ghost town.

01:24All houses are locked and padlocked.

01:28While we were going around,

01:30the farmer, Aljun, who has three cows, suddenly appeared.

01:36He told us that even though he doesn't want to leave his house and farm,

01:41it's good for him that they were allowed to join the evacuation

01:46to find a way to make a living.

02:16According to the Office of Civil Defense, Region 6,

02:19until this Sunday,

02:21the evacuation of the pets and the remaining residents was suspended.

02:27This is for their own safety.

02:30That is why we put a border control in the PNP

02:34to stop the entry of people.

02:37That's why our evacuation is continuous.

02:40What we gave to the PNP, to the LGUs,

02:43is that by December 16, that is tomorrow,

02:48there will be no more people within 6 kilometers.

03:03According to the latest advisory of PHIVOLCS,

03:07the alert status of Volcano Canlaon is still high at Level 3.

03:12It has been reported that there were 14 volcanic earthquakes in the past 24 hours.
