00:04bond on the Funko Pop Books, A Christmas Carol, Tiny Tim.

00:39Perfect for collectors and fans alike, the pop is a delightful reminder of the importance

00:43of kindness and family during the holiday season. While I haven't been visited yet

00:46by the ghost of things yet to come, I don't know the fate unfortunately of Wee Tim, what

00:50I do know at least is that this is the third figure we've looked at from the Funko Pop

00:53Books Christmas Carol. The other two being Ebenezer Scourge and Jacob Marley. We'll be

00:57bringing those two characters in a second. I couldn't help but also notice, let me just

01:01interrupt my own train of thought, that while we have gotten Tiny Tim, we never got

01:05a Bob Cratchit. I feel like the importance of Bob Cratchit is just as relevant as Tiny

01:09Tim and yet Tiny Tim is the only one from the Cratchit household that got a Funko release

01:14of him, at least part of this wave. With that being in mind though, let's take the tape

01:17measure and just see how tall Tiny Tim stands. He seems to be also standing pretty good thanks

01:21for the crutch under his arm. The figures are going to stand about four inches in height.

01:25That's going to translate though to a figure that's 10 centimeters tall. Now while I can't

01:28really speak much for the future, living only in the present, I can tell you that we've

01:31already had a look at Ebenezer Scourge. We'll interlock the bases together here and we've

01:35looked at of course Jacob Marley. Now if you're looking at all three characters, Tiny Tim

01:41is going to be about the same size as Ebenezer Scourge, though Ebenezer obviously has his

01:44nightcap on top of his head. He isn't going to be though as tall as Jacob Marley. Jacob

01:49Marley also is also floating from his display base, so that's probably one of the reasons

01:52why he has a little bit more of a lift. But all the three figures work quite well, the

01:55fact that they all have interlocking bases like this. Unfortunately though, Tiny Tim

01:59suffers the same fate, so to speak, as Ebenezer Scourge, in that both the characters don't

02:04attach at all to their display stands. One of the issues really that I had with Ebenezer

02:08Scourge is that the peg that they provide on the cobblestone base here doesn't do it

02:13all that good of a job of actually attaching inside the hole on the bottom of his feet.

02:17So if you go to put it on the base, I mean he's barely on there. Tiny Tim again sort

02:22of has the same problem. The figures barely attach onto these pegs. I feel like the pegs

02:26of anything could be a little bit bigger than what they are. Again, just to put Tim over

02:30here to the side, we'll also take off Ebenezer's display base. You've already seen for yourself

02:35that you can take these bases and interlock them together. From the design standpoint,

02:40they seem to be exactly the same. They're only obviously painted here on the top, nothing

02:43painted on the bottom. We'll move these off to the side and we'll get then a closer look

02:47at Tiny Tim. Again, it's really strange that we never got ourselves Bob Cratchit. As far

02:57as I know, this is the first and only wave that we got from the Christmas Carol. So having

03:01already looked at Ebenezer Scourge and Jacob Marley, the only other characters we have

03:05still yet to look at is the Ghost at Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. Of course backing

03:10that a little bit, let's get a closer look at Tiny Tim. He's seen better days. I guess

03:15that goes without saying. My favorite version of Tiny Tim is actually played by Glyn Dearman.

03:21He was in the 1951 classic known for obviously having Alistair Simm playing the main role.

03:25I know he's a little harder to look at, but for me, Glyn Dearman is my definitive Tiny

03:31Tim. This isn't necessarily based on any one of the movies, for example. This is basically

03:35just Tiny Tim from the actual books. So you sort of get again the vibe that Tiny Tim has

03:40seen, you know, he's had a rough life. The man's being carried around by Crutch alone.

03:45His own thing is really kind of keeping him up. And of course, he also has himself the

03:48brace that's around his leg. I feel like that's nicely been done here. You can see there's

03:51some gold accents added in there. Of course, the silver struts on the side as well, allowing

03:56Tiny Tim to be able to freely move. Although, you know, again, he's got a crutch, so it's

04:00a little bit harder for him to move. I like the fact that they've added a little bit scuff

04:04just to sort of give the idea that this man is poor. You know, again, like with Tiny Tim,

04:08the thing about Bob Cratchit is despite really having very limited of a wage coming in, he

04:12was still able to keep his house going and always had a full table of feasts and spreads

04:18and treats galore. Tiny Tim never really went hungry. Of course, when it comes to his cap,

04:23the cap is nicely colored here in blue. It's non-removable, so there's no way, like with

04:27a cap for Ebenezer Scrooge, you can't take it off or anything like that. But the hair

04:30is sculpted generally quite well. It's more of a darker brown that they have here. And

04:34of course, Tiny Tim has the trademark look for the Funko Pops, that being the large black

04:38eyes. The color for his face is nice. I mean, like Tiny Tim, for as hard of a life as he'd

04:42had, whatever hardships, he still manages to pull off the biggest smile. And that's

04:46really, again, the spirit I feel for Christmas. I mean, again, like even if you have very

04:50little in life, the best thing you can do is really make the most of what you have.

04:55And Tiny Tim certainly embodies that. Again, the coloring of his jacket. You know, again,

04:59like the fact that he still has matching jacket to hat, that's quite the feat to be pulled

05:03off. He has a nice little scarf also in there as well to keep him warm. I think the pants

05:07that they've done is nicely as well. And then it's nice panel lining. The figure doesn't

05:10have any poseability either. I mean, other than really just, again, like the standard

05:14head swivel, that's all you're really going to be getting afforded here for Tiny Tim.

05:17But that goes, of course, with the territory of all the Funko Pops for that matter. I mean,

05:21all of them generally just only have a straight head swivel. The thing, again, that kind of

05:24confuses me, though, is once I get this guy back onto his display base, why, oh, why is

05:29his father omitted from this wave? I mean, I can't expect the entire Cratchit household

05:33to be getting Funko Pops because, after all, I only have a limited mental space anyways.

05:39So the likelihood of me being able to put all these collectibles out on display would

05:42be impossible. But I guess one thing I could also really do, as I mentioned in the earlier

05:47review, and let's just get Ebeneezer Scrooge back onto his display base, you don't have

05:50to necessarily have them connecting. Well, let's spin this around. You don't really have

05:54to have necessarily connecting the way that you, well, where's his foot? Where's his blasted

05:59foot? I actually had this going the wrong way. But you don't have to necessarily have

06:02them interlocking that way. What I might just end up doing is putting them on the mantle,

06:05kind of like where one row is kind of in front of the other, so I can occupy a little

06:09less space, because I've got a lot more collectibles, it seems, for 2024's Christmas than I did

06:14in the earlier years. And, of course, we also have ourselves Jacob Marley. Again, I don't

06:18know how I'm necessarily going to have these displayed on the shelf, but I do like the

06:21look of the Funko Pops. You know me. You know me. I'm not a big Funko Pop advocate. Generally,

06:25I just don't collect the line. But when it comes to a certain thing, you know, I gravitate

06:29more towards, it seems like, the holiday Funko Pops, whether it be Halloween or it be Christmas.

06:34I'm also a big fan of the 1951 Christmas Carol, which I know, again, these Funko Pops

06:38aren't really based on necessarily a movie, per se, as they are more based on the original

06:42classic novelization of it. Having these, though, on display, even though being Funko

06:47Pops and all, I think they're actually fun little accessories, little fun collectible

06:51pieces to put on display. Tiny Tim, again, looks great to be on display with both Ebeneezer

06:56Scrooge and Jacob Marley. Of course, we're going to be doubling that up in the upcoming

06:59review. We're going to be looking at the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present and Future. I do

07:03like the look of Tiny Tim. He turned out to be a really great Funko Pop release. I think

07:06I'd have to say my second favorite Tiny Tim is probably the one from Mickey's Christmas

07:09Carol. Purely more out of nostalgia than anything else. Just remembering Tiny Tim finding the

07:14toys inside Scrooge McDuck's laundry bag. It's a classic film. But still, my OG is Glenn

07:18Dearman from the 1951 film. Not that he has a standout role. I mean, clearly, anybody

07:23in the 1951 Christmas Carol is so overshadowed by the performance of Alastair Sim. But again,

07:29like for me, it's nostalgia. It's the one that I have to watch annually. So for me,

08:01that they're the ones that visit Ebeneezer Scrooge in all the same nights. It probably

08:04would make probably the most sense, instead of doing them as separate reviews, we're
