00:09regarding the VAT refund for non-resident tourists that has been legislated for a while.

00:17What is this law and how important is it?

00:21What is in this law is that non-resident foreigners are now being allowed to refund VAT

00:34for the products they bought here in our country.

00:38The purpose of this law is to encourage more tourists to buy products here

00:48because it will be cheaper and they will be able to refund the VAT that they paid.

00:54Okay, what type of products and services are included in this refund program

01:02and what is the scope and limitation?

01:05First of all, all the products, whether the clothes, the usual souvenirs that we sell,

01:15and the products that are made in the Philippines.

01:22If imported?

01:23If imported, it can also be bought here.

01:27As long as the establishment that will sell these products is registered.

01:32So the typical goods that tourists buy when they go shopping.

01:39They just need to register in our agency and there is a minimum amount of P3,000.

01:46P3,000 should increase the price of what you will buy.

01:53It also needs to be exported to the Philippines.

01:57The period is within 60 days.

02:01You should be able to buy and export.

02:03If it is longer, it will not be included in the VAT refund.

02:08For example, if a tourist stays here for a few months and he comes here

02:13and he will leave for a long time, he will not be refunded.

02:18So this is also ensured that the products that are included in the VAT refund

02:24will be exported to our country by foreigners who buy here.

02:28Because it is also big. How much is the percent?

02:3312% is our VAT.

02:35So it means that the 12% will be refunded.

02:40I remember before, there was a foreigner who asked if we had a VAT refund.
