00:39Alright. Sir, Madam, pakipaliwanag niyo nga po sa amin itong layunin, itong nalalapit na 2025 Artificial Intelligence Fest.

00:46At saan at kailan po ito gaganapin?

00:49Thank you, Sir Joshua. Siguro, I'll start with the basic information ng ating 2025 AI or Artificial Intelligence Fest.

01:01This will be conducted this coming August 11 to 13, 2025.

01:06At ang venue po nito will be yung Icon or the Irigila Convention Center.

01:11At itong pong ating AI Festival is one of the major strategies ng Department of Planning and Technology.

01:21Kasama natin na natin dyan yung ating mga partner agencies as well as organizations

01:25in order to really become more prepared for the utilization of AI for the benefit po ng ating mga kababayan.

01:33So, masasabi dyan po natin na itong ating AI Festival or AI Fest 2025 is our response to the call of our President

01:42who mentioned and who pronounced na kailangan po natin gamitin yung Artificial Intelligence or AI

01:49in order to uplift the lives of our fellow Filipinos, in order to increase the productivity of society,

01:57as well as enhance the economic competitiveness of the country.

02:00At ito po ang layunin ng ating AI Fest.

02:05At kasama po natin dyan, as part of our festival, will be for activities.

02:13So, mayroon po tayong AI technical conference where we have invited a lot of speakers

02:19who will be talking about the different dimensions of AI in public governance, in health, in business industry, and others.

02:29We will also be having an AI hackathon.

02:33Ito naman po ay intended for our students, both in high school and college.

02:39And the intention of this is really for them to build their capability

02:44para po gamitin ang AI in solving yung ating pong mga problema sa ating society.

02:51And we will also be having, of course, for the first time ever, no?

02:57We will be having a CD-AI, which is a sort of a workshop as well as a competition

03:04in how to responsibly use AI in producing our creative works, particularly films, no?

03:14And finally, yung ating pong AI Fest na si-certify, will also involve an AI exhibit.

03:21So, dito po isi-showcase natin yung ibang-ibang mga local and even international companies,

03:27as well as organizations, that are having products and services related to AI.

03:34So, in a nutshell po, ito po yung ating activity.

03:37And again, this will be held this coming August 11th to 13th here in Mililito.

03:44And may I also request my opinion, no, si ARD Kiflin,

03:48to also discuss some of the details of this upcoming activity.

04:01Maari po ba namin malaman ano ang dahilan sa likod ng pagbuo ng Artificial Intelligence Festival sa Iloilo City?

04:08At ano nga po ba ulit ang tema nito?

04:12Ah, okay.

04:14Again, thank you po sa pag-invita sa amin to explain po and promote po yung AI Fest.

04:20So, yung AI Fest po is our effort to develop and strengthen po yung AI industry dito sa Philippines.

04:31And it will serve also as a platform where all regions, all sectors,

04:37academe, government, private institutions will converge and share best practices

04:43and also build AI agenda for our country.

04:47So, yung mga discussions na mag-aarise during the AI Fest at yung mga inputs nila will become an input to our AI agenda.

04:59So, it ang isa pang layunin natin also is to increase public awareness sa AI, no?

05:06Na dapat hindi katakutan ng AI, but rather maging open sa pag-learn ng AI

05:13at kung paano natin gagamitin ang AI sa daily activities natin,

05:19sa work, sa education, and all parts of our activities, no?

05:24So, yung ating theme ay coding a better future, responsible AI for cities and communities.

05:48So, bakit po ito yung ating tema?

05:51So, nandito na po ang AI, pero kung paano po natin siyang gagamitin,

05:57ay hindi pa po natin na pag-uusapan at kailangan pa natin i-promote.

06:02So, kaya po pinapromote po ng AI Fest yung responsible and ethical na paggamit ng AI

06:12sa various sectors, sa education, sa research and development, as well as sa ating mga industries, no?

06:20So, yun po, ma-march yung layunin ng ating AI Fest.

06:26Kay engineer naman po, sir, nabanggit po ni Ms. Bernardino yung responsible use of AI.

06:31Napapanahon po ito, lalo't na patuloy at mabilis na lumalawak yung AI landscape dito sa ating bansa.

06:36Pero dito po sa aktibidad na gaganapin natin, ano po yung kaibahan ng 2025 AI Fest sa ibang mga AI events

06:45at ano po yung mga inaasahang aktibidad sa event na ito, maliban po doon sa mga nabanggit ninyo?

06:50Tututok ba ito doon mismo doon sa responsable yung paggamit ng AI?

06:54Hama po yan, Sir Joshua, no?

06:58And I would like to again reiterate na yung tema po ng ating AI Festival is really responsible AI for citizens and communities.

07:08At ito po ay nag-a-align sa sinabi po ng ating Pangulo, Joling the Asian Summit,

07:14na kailangan po natin ipursume at ipumove talaga ang ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

07:20Alam naman po natin na yung artificial intelligence, just like any other technologies, have both a good and a bad side, ano?

07:30Pwede po siyang gamitin sa kasamaan, pwede po siyang gamitin for purposes that undermine the welfare, particularly of the Filipino people.

07:39So gusto po natin emphasize dito na yung AI is a tool and also a companion na kailangan po responsable at editan yung paggamit sa kanya

07:50so that this will be used for the benefit of the Filipino people.

07:55Hindi po iyong gagamitin natin sa kasamaan yung itong mga teknolohiya na ganito.

08:00So iyan po yung ulit-ulit natin na i-emphasize sa ating AF Festival,

08:05whether sa Hakaton or sa ating Cine AI, yung ating workshop on filmmaking using AI as a support technology.

08:18Sa ating pong mga exhibits at sa ating pong mga canonical conference,

08:23palagi po natin emphasize yan, yung AI dapat gamitin natin responsibly and effectively

08:29para ma-address natin yung ibang-ibang mga problema na kinakaharap natin not only as a Filipino nation

08:36but also as a member of the global community.

08:40Let us not forget na yung AI talaga, pag tama at waspa yung ating paggamit,

08:46napakalagi po ng maituturo nito sa ating ekonomiya.

08:49Malagi po yung ituturo nito sa pag-tugon sa ating mga challenges

08:54in terms of health and welfare of our Filipino countrymen.

08:59Maggamit po natin ito in further improving the delivery of public services

09:05at through AI, kung tama at saka responsible yung ating paggamit nito,

09:13ito po ay makakapagkatulong sa pag-enhance ng market competitiveness

09:19ng ating business and industry sector.

09:21So ito po yung layunin talaga ng ating AI kasiwal.

09:25May iba po ito sa mga dati natin kinagawa ng mga activities sa AI

09:30kasi ito, marami siyang activities talaga.

09:34Hindi lang, kinitingnan natin yung science, technology ng AI.

09:41But we are also looking into the social and ethical dimension

09:45and we are even emphasizing that AI can actually be used

09:50to support the creative industry.

09:52So ito po yung ating kaibahan sa ating mga previous activities sa AI

09:58and this is the reason why we are really promoting this one

10:03to be participated not only by our researchers

10:06but also by our local government and national government officials

10:10as well as by the academy and the private sector, Sir Josman.

10:16Engineer, maliwang po sa nabanggitin nyo na responsible use of AI

10:19at kung paano ito makakatulong sa ating ekonomiya.

10:23Sa tingin nyo po ba ito ay makakatulong din sa ating publiko?

10:26Lalo na po sa mga ordinaryong Pilipino na hindi naman ganong katek-savvy

10:29na hindi rin marunong gumagamit ng AI

10:32eh makakatulong ba sa kanila ito para tumaas yung kanilang kamalayan

10:35para malaman kung ano yung peke sa hindi?

10:38Dahil ngayon, lalo na sa social media, nagkalat ng mga AI videos

10:41na ginagamit sa malim paraan.

10:45Tapapit yan, Sir Josman, no?

10:47At in fact, kami sa Western Visayas

10:50we have already set our own regional action plan for AI

10:57at kasama po sa aming AI strategy dito

11:00is really reaching out to the general public

11:03and emphasize that AI, just like any other technology

11:08has a good side and bad side

11:10as I have mentioned just a while ago.

11:13At kailangan po natin sa general public

11:15na may hindihan na ito po ay dapat natin gamitin

11:19lamang para sa rosto na pamamaraan.

11:23Kasi pag ito po ay ginamit sa maling pamamaraan

11:27imbis na magkatatulong po ito sa atin

11:30imbis po na tayo ayunlat bilang isang nasyon

11:34ay lalo po tayo mahirapan na

11:37makamitan yung ating mga social economic aspirations.

11:42So tama po ngayon dyan,

11:43yung ating ASSB1 is also a very good platform for us to reach out to the general public

11:50to the ordinary Filipinos

11:53and inform them na yung AI is not, you know,

11:57it's not lang yung deep fake,

12:00yung mga fake na mga video na pinapapakalat natin

12:03but yung AI po ay napaka-useful sa agrikultura,

12:07useful sa pagpapaundan ng ating ekonomika,

12:12very useful po sa health and welfare ng ating mga kababayan.

12:25Ma'am, pwede niyo po bang ipaliwanag sa amin

12:27kung ano po yung magaganap at yung detalyo po sa AI hackathon?

12:32Sino-sino ang pwedeng lumahok

12:35at kailan po ba yung deadline ng submission ng mga nais mag-apply?

12:38At Ma'am, totoo bang merong hacking na mangyayari?

12:44Okay, so yung AI hackathon po is

12:47open po for senior high school students to college students.

12:53So, kailangan nilang mag-form ng team.

12:55At least three po yung members to five.

12:58Maximum of five yung members.

13:00And open po to sa lahat ng student teams

13:02from all over the country.

13:05So, yung mangyayari po ay

13:06mag-sasubmit sila ng project concept

13:12na anchored po sa mga tema namin.

13:14Yung tema namin ay blue economy,

13:16renewable energy, health, and so on.

13:21So, kailangan meron silang problem

13:24na gustong isolve.

13:26And then, paano nila isosolve

13:27through the use of AI.

13:30So, mag-de-develop sila ng solution

13:33using AI sa mga problema under these teams.

13:36So, pag sinabi mo kasing hackathon,

13:38it's not always a bad thing.

13:40Hackathon is like a competition.

13:42It's like an event wherein people gather together

13:48and mag-create or mag-develop ng systems

13:52or ng mga applications

13:53that will solve mga real-world problems.

13:57For example, if you have problem related to agriculture,

14:02so, paano kaya masosolve ng AI?

14:05O ano kaya ang mga applications

14:06na pwede natin i-develop?

14:08For example, to monitor yung growth

14:12ng isang crop, mga ganun mga bagay.

14:15So, hackathon is a gathering

14:18of all skilled na mga individuals

14:21capable of programming,

14:23capable of developing applications

14:25and tools that will solve real-world problems.

14:29So, yun yung mangyayari.

14:31And sabi ko nga,

14:32open to sa mga student teams.

14:35Yung gagawin lang nila is

14:36go to AIFest.ph,

14:39yung ating pong website,

14:41and check out kung ano yung mga guidelines natin.

14:44So, they have to submit a project concept

14:47and of course, yung profile ng kanilang members.

14:51And yun, magsasubmit sila

14:53on or before June 27 na yung deadline.

14:56So, doon din nila isasubmit sa AIFest.ph na website.

15:01Available din doon lahat ng forms.

15:04So, they also need to submit yung parents' consent

15:06if you are a student

15:08to ensure na inalaw ka ng parents mo

15:11to participate in the AI hackathon.

15:14So, this AI hackathon will be held

15:16here in Iloilo City.

15:19So, inclusive na yung food during the hackathon.

15:22For three days,

15:23they will be housed in one venue.

15:26And yung gagawin lang nila talaga

15:28is to code and develop AI applications.

15:31So, yun po, Miss March, ang AI hackathon.
