How much attention do you pay to school league tables, and do you think they reflect the quality of education? What do you think is more important in choosing a school—its place in the league tables or the overall environment and ethos?

00:00I'd say the way the world is now, probably not, to be honest with you.

00:04Years ago, when I was at school, there was maybe 20 in a class or 22 or something like that,

00:11but I think they probably have a lot more now, and the way children are now, it's very demanding, so probably not.

00:17No, because it's how much work the students do.

00:25If you look at the environment, the school, the teachers are doing the best, but they're tied down too with the authority.

00:35You look on maybe recommendation of someone, continuous of family, if other kids have gone there,

00:41and you can see how they've sort of been educated, so a bit of sort of education from people who said,

00:46yeah, that's a good school, you know, that type of thing.

00:49The best education, the best teachers, if they're going to make friends in there, like friends are a good thing as well.
