00:00The seasons of Advent and Christmas are times to feast and party.

00:04Then again, think twice if you're well past your youth in dealing with the lethal illnesses of hypertension or high blood pressure

00:10that are byproducts of feasting on flavorful food rich in fat.

00:15Our Bienveni Manalo has more on being aware and being on moderation mode when feasting and partying.

00:23Angelita has been taking medicine for over two years due to her hypertension.

00:28She admits being hypertensive or afflicted with high blood pressure because of her lifestyle.

00:34She likes to eat fatty, salty, and sweet foods, especially whenever there is a celebration.

00:40And with the holiday season upon us and the celebration is all around, Angelita is now very careful about what she eats.

00:59The Department of Health warns the public regarding the diseases that could afflict us if we are not in control of what we eat,

01:08including high blood pressure and heart attack.

01:11That's why the Health Department has further ramped up its Ligtas Christmas campaign.

01:29The DOH is also strictly warning the public on food poisoning.

01:36Meanwhile, the department also continues to strengthen its Iwas Paputok campaign to welcome the new year with the bang.

01:48Therefore, the agency advises the public to join the designated community fireworks

01:53instead of playing once-on-with fireworks.
