At least 104 journalists have lost their lives this year as victims of violent crime, according to a provisional tally by the International Federation of Journalists, which places more than half of these deaths, 55 to be precise, in the Gaza Strip, the scene of an intense military offensive by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). teleSUR

00:27killed, reaching 66 dead in 2024, 55 of them in Gaza. On October 13th, 2023, the International

00:35Federation of Journalists urged UNESCO to make efforts for the protection of the members of this

00:40sector.
