00:05Right now, 13 electric models qualify for a federal tax credit for $7,500.

00:11Eight other EVs and plug-in hybrids can get more than $3,700.

00:15Customers are aware of the tax credit, so they are asking for it.

00:19But President-elect Trump says he'll get rid of those rebates.

00:25And that threat is sending some buyers to the dealership before it's too late.

00:36It's not as easy as picking any EV you like than driving it off the lot.

00:41To qualify for the federal tax credit, there are some very specific requirements for you and the vehicle.

00:46To get the full benefit, you have to make less than $150,000 a year.

00:50Most of the vehicle has to be assembled in North America.

00:53And the batteries have to include material from the U.S. or its allies.
