00:20This is how the people of Angono celebrated the traditional parade of the Gigantes,

00:25a landmark of their municipality.

00:28In addition to the celebration of the parade of their patron, San Clemente,

00:32the World Class Gigantes Festival is also held every November.

00:36According to history, the Gigantes are a symbol of the unity of farmers

00:43against traitors during the Castilian period.

00:46Artemio Temiong Tahan was the first member of the Gigantes family in 1945

00:52who became an important part of the parade of San Clemente.

00:56When he passed away, he passed this flag to his son, Tatay Totoy Tahan,

01:02who continues to make the Gigantes iconic.

01:06According to Tatay Totoy, the last Gigante left by his father was the man with a beard.
