The U.K. Parliament has followed the European Union and Canada in passing a motion rejecting China’s use of a 1971 U.N. resolution to claim sovereignty over Taiwan.

00:24The British Parliament rejected that stance, saying the resolution does not address the

00:28political status of Taiwan.
