00:08Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Lian condemned the acquisition of 38 state-of-the-art
00:15abrams thanks to that island region.
00:19He also reaffirmed Beijing's opposition to any attempt by Taiwan to promote separatism
00:24through military means and the support of foreign forces.
00:28The spokesman also urged the United States to adhere to the One China Principle and the
00:33three joint communiques, especially the communique of August 17, 1982.
00:45China's firm opposition to U.S.-Taiwan military contacts and U.S. arms sales to Taiwan is
00:51consistent and clear.
00:52We urge the United States to respect the One China Principle and the three U.S.-China joint
00:57communiques, especially the dispositions.
01:01Likewise, the Chinese spokesperson assured that Beijing will defend its sovereignty and
01:07territorial integrity.
01:11The Taiwan Authority's attempt to seek independence through force and foreign interference is
01:15condemned to failure.
01:17China will firmly defend its national sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
