00:00The flood situation in Kelantan and Terengganu has worsened.

00:06The number of flood evacuees in Kelantan reached 8,838 people as of 2.43 pm on Wednesday after

00:14nine districts were hit by rising floodwaters.

00:17The affected districts include Kota Baru, Pasir Mas, Tumpat, Bacok, Tanah Merah, Pasir

00:23Putih, Kuala Krai, Macang and Jeli.

00:26Pasir Mas recorded the highest number of victims relocated to temporary evacuation

00:31centers at 1,634 people, followed by Kota Baru and Pasir Putih.

00:38Kelantan Police Chief Commissioner Datuk Muhammad Yusof Mamat said the flood situation in the

00:42state is still under control.

00:44He advised residents living in low-lying areas to evacuate early if their homes are flooded.

00:50Meanwhile, Terengganu saw an increase in the number of evacuations overnight.

00:55Over 1,220 people from 384 families are seeking shelter at 42 relief center centers in the

01:03state, as at 12.40 pm on Wednesday.

01:07The affected districts include Besut, Setiu, Marang and Kuala Terengganu.
