00:24was confirmed by the Department of Health in the Asia-Pacific Alliance of Rare Disease Organizations Conference 2024.

00:33The conference discussed the importance of opportunities and benefits

00:39for the public to be more aware of the rare diseases.

00:43The platform will be a platform for joint initiatives and collaboration in treating diseases.

00:50Across the world, we're saying that the solution to the rare disease community

00:55is not a single solution, but multiple solutions.

00:59The implementation of health, social, and economic policies

01:05that will strengthen the programs that will benefit the rare disease community.

01:10As of now, 6,500 individuals have been affected by rare diseases in the Philippines

01:17that have been diagnosed by the DOH.

01:19DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa said that collaboration and assistance of concerned agencies and governments

01:27in treating rare diseases through the Hulup Government Approach is important.

01:32Solving health problems and saving people's lives doesn't need a law.

01:36It just needs humanity and humanism.

01:40The strengthening of the Newborn Screening Program, Diagnosis, and Management is also possible.

01:46The government is also coordinating with other stakeholders in addressing the so-called diseases.

01:52It's more important, as you're saying, to have the system in place that you can implement and you can access.

01:58The Asia-Pacific Alliance of Rare Disease Organizations Conference is focused on opening up freedom,

02:05promoting advocacy, and developing innovative solutions for the rare disease community.
