00:00The regulations on the use of the Loss and Damage Fund

00:04or PONDO for the countries most affected by climate change

00:08will be formed before the end of the year.

00:10According to Environment Secretary Tony Yulo-Loyzaga,

00:13in December, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Philippines

00:19is expected to pass this.

00:22The Loss and Damage Fund was created to find the PONDO

00:25and to provide financial assistance to the countries affected by climate change.

00:30Despite the possible use of the PONDO,

00:32infrastructure, agriculture and the dead were destroyed.

00:37As of now, the Loss and Damage Fund

00:40has raised up to US$700 million

00:42from the promised PONDOs in different countries.

00:47Of course, the climate vulnerable countries are full

00:50in terms of who will be able to avail.

00:52I have to say,

00:54small island development states and Africa

00:57are leading rather than the Philippines.
