Police are investigating after the remains of a baby, named Baby A by officers, were found in a snow-covered field near the M61 in Little Hulton, Salford.
A memorial with teddies, flowers, and heartfelt messages has been placed near the site, where locals expressed shock over the discovery, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Forensic teams have been working at the scene, and Greater Manchester Police have called the investigation "sensitive" and time-consuming.
