00:11of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, at the Alborada Palace.

00:16The meeting will start at roughly 10 a.m. local time, Brasilia.

00:20The two leaders will discuss bilateral relations during this bilateral meeting.

00:25China and Brazil have sought to position themselves as leaders of the Global South

00:30at a time of great global uncertainty, with the crisis going on in the Middle East with

00:35the Israeli genocide.

00:37China is the biggest trading partner overall, with two-way commerce exceeding 160 billion

00:42U.S. dollars last year.

00:44Xi looked forward to talks with Lu Lan for enhancing China-Brazil relations, promoting

00:49synergy of the two countries' development strategies.

00:54Regional and regional issues of common interest are also going to be on the table for the

00:58two heads of state to discuss during this bilateral meeting.

01:06A visit to Beijing this year by Vice President Geraldo Acme was seen as paving the way for

01:23of the world, comes as Brazil and China mark 50 years of diplomatic ties.

01:29It is a moment of celebration of coming together of these two powerhouses to continue developing

01:38their ties in trade and different sectors, to continue developing a strategy of multilateralism

01:44and to enhance the Belt and Road Initiative to interconnect more the peoples of Brazil

01:49and China.
