China and Malaysia have pledged to stand with regional countries to combat the undercurrents of geopolitical turbulence.  Chinese President Xi Jinping said this in his speech at an official dinner hosted by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in his honour after a bilateral meeting at the Seri Perdana Complex, Putrajaya on Wednesday (April 16) night. 02:16Visit those whom you feel connected to, even if you've never met, and see them again if they stay in your heart long after your last encounter.

02:29During my last visit to Malaysia in 2013, I was deeply impressed by Malaysia's beautiful nature, diverse culture, and kind people.

02:40Now, coming back 12 years later, I am truly delighted to see Malaysia booming and making great strides in modernization.

02:51I have no doubt, under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister Anwar,

02:58Malaysia will be ever more vigorous and achieve even greater success in building Malaysia Madani.

04:21We have a friendship that spans over a thousand years.

04:26A Malay proverb says, little by little it becomes a hill.

04:31Over the past 50 plus years, since we began formal diplomatic relations,

04:38we have worked together and built a relationship as solid as a stone and only getting stronger.

04:46We are close friends and partners.

04:49Politically, we respect and trust each other.

04:53Economically, we enjoy mutually beneficial cooperation.

04:57Culturally, we learn from and invigorate each other.

05:01This relationship is benefiting our peoples in real ways.

05:07In 2023, Prime Minister Anwar and I announced that we would build a China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

05:16A new historical chapter in our bilateral relations has since begun.
