As pantomime season is looming we will be looking back at Bristol's pantomimes and finding out what celebrities have formerly taken to the Bristol hippodrome stage as part of the Christmas experience.

00:06set to draw in Christmas audiences. For many children, the pantomime is often their first

00:13experience of live theatre, and for many parents and grandparents, it's an opportunity to catch

00:18some of the biggest stars on stage and screen in the city.

00:24This year's Bristol Hippodrome Pantomime is Goldilocks and the Three Bears, starring

00:28Brian Conley, and he's the latest big name to appear at the theatre over the festive

00:34season. But many big celebrities have visited the city as part of a pantomime season, including

00:42Jim Davidson and John Virgo in 2002 for Dick Whittington, and Lily Savage and Paul O'Grady

00:50as the Wicked Queen in Snow White in 2003. Other celebrities include Joe Swash, Barbara

00:57Windsor and Shane Ritchie.
