00:17 Let's look at your guide to gigs in Bristol.
00:23 First up is Bristol Sounds that starts at the end of June.
00:26 And on Bristol's harbourside at Lloyd's Amphitheatre.
00:29 The festival kicks off with Skindred and Gentleman's Dub Club with James Arthur on Wednesday and
00:36 the 26th of June.
00:38 On Thursday the 27th of June, Busted is coming to Cannon's Marsh Amphitheatre with The Weekend,
00:43 Seeing Placebo and Annie Mac to name a few.
00:48 Bristol Pride is always an iconic event in the city of Bristol and this year is set to
00:53 take place on Saturday the 13th of July.
00:56 Bristol Pride is a unique and important event that celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, offering
01:01 the chance to connect people.
01:03 Let's chat to their team to find out more.
01:06 I'm one of the directors for Bristol Pride and I guess my role is mainly at the moment
01:12 to do all the programming so we're busy with that getting ready for the festival this summer.
01:17 Yeah, so I mean it's just amazing to be back.
01:20 We've got such exciting plans.
01:23 We'll be running two weeks of activity across the city again.
01:26 So we're running from the 29th of June all the way through to the 13th of July and those
01:32 two weeks we'll see events like our circus night, comedy, our dog show, theatre, so many
01:39 things are going on across those two weeks.
01:42 It's important everywhere that Pride happens it's important.
01:47 It's about celebrating community, it's about making connections and bringing people together.
01:54 So in Bristol we're surrounded by so many areas, regions, counties that don't necessarily
02:01 have any LGBT+ spaces.
02:04 Next up is Siren Bristol.
02:06 Last year Siren Festival proved a massive hit and this year it is back and longer than
02:11 ever.
02:12 On the 1st of August, icons of the music scene, the Sugar Babes, will be visiting Bristol
02:16 again, followed by the popular Hospitality on the Harbour with headliners such as Flavour
02:21 D and DC and NetSky.
02:24 The last festival of the summer series is Forwards Festival.
02:28 Last year Forwards Festival proved a massive success and this year is set to have a very
02:33 exciting lineup.
02:34 Forwards is an inner city music festival, drawing the biggest names in international
02:39 music to Bristol Downs.
02:41 The festival aims to present high quality diverse and heritage music acts alongside
02:47 emerging artists from Bristol and beyond.
02:50 The festival presents a contemporary curation of music while paying homage to Bristol's
02:56 long standing history of being a music city.
