Shropshire volunteer groups named in 2024 King's Awards

The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Mrs Anna Turner, is delighted to be able to share that 8 voluntary organisations from the County have been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).

00:06is about to be announced and we have an incredible network of volunteers in Shropshire and this

00:14year we have as many as ever. I'm absolutely delighted to say we have eight winners and

00:21these awards are the MBEs of the voluntary world and Shrewsbury and Oswestry Crucial

00:29Crew, the Albrighton Trust, Shrewsbury Up-and-Comers, Crookton and District Ploughing and Hedging

00:36Society, Oswestry Borderland Tourism Ltd, the Shropshire Beekeepers Association, Sustainable

00:44Newport and Telford and Reakin Interfaith Council have all been given these awards.
