00:00The Star Property Awards, 2024 Realtor Edition returned for its 7th year to honour Malaysia's

00:08top real estate professionals.

00:10Organised by Star Media Group's subsidiary Star Property on Wednesday night, the event

00:14attracted hundreds of agents, negotiators and industry leaders.

00:17The award ceremony saw some 112 recipients winning awards in 25 categories and 36 sub-categories.

00:26The commitment, resilience and integrity have driven this industry forward.

00:31The momentum we have achieved today would not be possible without the commitment of

00:38property agents and negotiators, who have played a pivotal role in shaping the real

00:44estate landscape.

00:46These professionals serve as trusted advisors, bridging the aspirations of property owners,

00:54developers and investors, while upholding ethical standards and industry best practices.

01:03The organiser commended the real estate sector for guiding Malaysia's property market to

01:07bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

01:10The industry recorded a record transaction value of RM196.83 billion last year, exceeding

01:16the previous record of RM162 billion in 2014.

01:21Reflecting the industry's evolving needs, the organiser introduced two new categories

01:25– the Valuation Excellence Award and the Real Estate Negotiator of the Year Award for

01:30Auction Properties.

01:31I am very happy and I am very excited because this is the recognition for myself and also

01:38for my company and my boss that gives me chances to learn about how to become a successful

01:45real estate agent in auction properties.

01:47Really speechless as well, you know, and receiving this award, you know, after all

01:51those hard work and now finally going on stage and receiving the award by myself as well.

01:56Because coming over here over the years, you know, was just motivating to actually be now

02:00on the stage itself to be receiving my own award, you know, it's a breathtaking moment

02:06and really speechless as well.

02:18I feel very excited and thanks to Polygon Properties, especially my founders, giving

02:23me these opportunities and really pushed my level up, which I don't really expect to

02:28be able to win these awards.

02:30And also all my business partners, all my associate partners, and I hope to see everyone

02:37on the stage next year.

02:39I think this is an award that I will cherish for a long time.

02:42This award explains my 30 years work experience that has been translated into a single line.

02:49I am very happy to be awarded the Chief Executive of the Year for 2024.

02:54This year's awards received a robust number of entries from across the country, with each

02:58submission undergoing thorough evaluation by a distinguished panel of judges, comprising

03:03leaders in Malaysia's real estate sector and related fields.
