00:19 for outstanding achievements in real estate.

00:22 The biggest winner of the night was

00:24 Saim Darby Property Berhad

00:26 clinching 11 trophies

00:27 including being at the top of the All Stars Award

00:30 for listed companies.

00:31 It's a big honour for us, this award

00:38 and to be ranked number one is a huge honour.

00:41 And I think all of us in Saim Darby Property

00:44 would be most grateful

00:46 and feel very motivated

00:49 the fact that we won number one.

00:51 It's been a hell of a year, not just for the industry

00:54 but for all of us in Saim Darby Property.

00:57 Working very hard and we've delivered our record year

01:01 since our demerger

01:02 in the last two years, two consecutive years.

01:05 So this is really something that will serve to motivate us

01:10 and we like to express our sincere thanks

01:15 In the non-listed companies category

01:17 the top All Stars Award went to Setia Awan Group

01:20 who also managed to win two other honours awards

01:23 for its Astrum Ampang development project.

01:26 In the first place, we did not expect to win.

01:29 The best part, we won the first prize.

01:32 Definitely it's something to us, very meaningful to us

01:36 and also I must thank the team

01:39 for their hard work, dedication

01:41 and also the innovation of the product that we come up with

01:44 especially for the TOD project.

01:47 Two new categories were also introduced

01:50 the Star Property Reader's Choice

01:52 Newsmaker of the Year

01:53 and the Sustainability Vanguard Award

01:56 Best ESG Conscious Development.

01:58 Masing Group Berhad, Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor

02:02 and Saim Darby Property Berhad

02:04 were declared the Maiden Winners of the Newsmaker of the Year

02:07 with each achieving Excellence Rankings.

02:09 As for the Sustainability Vanguard Award

02:13 Udah Holdings Berhad and UMW Development Sendirian Berhad

02:17 were the Maiden Winners for Pertama Kompleks

02:19 and UMW High Value Manufacturing Park, respectively.

02:24 Well, we get one of the best ESG conscious development

02:28 and also the best industrial park.

02:30 So it's a well-planned, well-managed

02:32 very sustainable ESG conscious.

02:34 We're very honoured to be selected

02:36 part of the esteemed developers in the country

02:40 so it shows our case, our commitment

02:42 to sustainability in the group.

02:44 Other winners of the night include Sunway Group

02:46 that won Excellence Award for the Best Managed Theme Park

02:49 and Best Managed Hotel.

02:51 I think it's a fantastic reward for us and for the team.

02:55 You know, we work very hard to making sure that our guests

02:59 and our staff alike are proud to come into our property

03:03 and working for Sunway Group.

03:04 And I think certainly this will add further motivation

03:08 to all of us to do even a greater job going forward.

03:12 I think this inspires us to do better.

03:15 I think for the next couple of years

03:17 we hope we can get another award, a star, right?

03:27 The Star Property Real Estate Developers Award 2024

03:30 was organised by Star Property Sendirian Berhad,

03:33 a wholly-owned subsidiary of Star Media Group.

03:37 SMG Group Chief Executive Officer Chan Seng Fat said

03:41 the past decade saw rapid changes across real estate

03:44 and property development industries.

03:46 From the iron roof, new building concept,

03:49 introduction of green building,

03:52 sustainability-related improvements,

03:54 to technology and also digitalisation

03:58 that enhance the way we live and interact with our spaces.

04:03 The dynamism of this sector is reflected in policies,

04:08 rules and regulations that have been updated

04:13 to suit the needs of the current market.

04:16 In his speech, the guests of honour,

04:18 Housing and Local Government Minister Ngah Kor Ming,

04:21 said his ministry was heartened to see the property industry

04:24 continuing to grow amidst various conditions

04:27 while still providing jobs and contributing to the national economy.

04:31 The property industry has proven itself time and again

04:37 as one of the important nation builders

04:40 by fulfilling Malaysian desire for home ownership.

04:45 As our nation progresses, so are people's aspirations.

04:52 The demand for sustainability,

04:54 compliance with environment, social and governance ESG,

05:00 smart homes and smart cities,

05:03 data-driven solutions,

05:05 and future growth spaces in the face of climate change

05:09 are the agendas that will define the built environment

05:14 in the not-so-distinct future.

05:19 the panel consisted of credible and impartial judges

05:22 comprising captains of the Malaysian real estate industry

05:25 and leaders of various disciplines,

05:27 all working together to ensure that all entries

05:30 received comprehensive and fair evaluations.
