00:13ahead of Paris Saint-Germain's doomed clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

00:18In reaction, the French interior minister has threatened to forbid banners altogether.

00:23I'm asking PSG to explain themselves and for clubs to make sure that politics don't interfere with sport,

00:29which must remain a catalyst for unity.

00:32This Tifo does not belong inside the stadium and such messages are in fact prohibited by the league and UEFA.

00:39But UEFA, which organises the Champions League matches,

00:42has said that it doesn't consider the banner to be insulting

00:45and the European football body won't be handing out any sanctions.

00:50PSG's director-general has nevertheless been summoned to the interior ministry on Friday morning,

00:55with questions no doubt about whether staff turned a blind eye to the large-scale plans.

01:05France host Israel in a Nations League match at the Stade de France next Thursday.
