00:02After the last two presidential elections, plenty of people have had the same idea.

00:06And with this election proving just as divisive, the question is back.

00:10So which countries are the easiest to move to?

00:12First up, Mexico.

00:14Mexico offers a temporary resident visa that can be renewed for up to four years.

00:19After that, you can apply for a permanent resident visa,

00:22but you will have to pass a Spanish language proficiency test.

00:26Next, Portugal.

00:27It's become a hotspot for Americans.

00:29According to Forbes, between 2017 and 2022, the number of Americans there jumped by 239%.

00:36Portugal has two popular options.

00:38The temporary stay visa for digital nomads, which you'll need proof of income for,

00:43allows people to stay for up to four years.

00:45For a permanent alternative, there's the Golden Visa,

00:48which requires a minimum investment of 500,000 euros, or roughly $544,000.

00:55If you're interested in living in Asia, Thailand offers a long-term resident visa

00:59for skilled or remote workers, as well as retirees.

01:03It requires a personal income of $80,000 a year.

01:06But if you make less than that, you can show additional documents

01:09as proof of qualification, like a master's degree.

01:12This visa allows you to stay in Thailand for up to 10 years.

01:15And finally, Canada.

01:17It's a bit more complex, but for skilled workers, there's the Express Entry Program.

01:22You'll need to qualify through the Canadian government's points system to be eligible.

01:26All of these visas have different requirements, fees, and can change from year to year.

01:30But if you're serious about making the move, there are options.
