Two new cases of more spreadable mpox found in UK

Two more cases of a new strain of the mpox virus have been detected in London, in household contacts of the first patient, health officials say.

00:32at the UK Health Security Agency, said Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, could spread

00:39quickly within households and further cases were not expected. The overall risk to the

00:45UK population remains low, she confirmed. We are working with partners to make sure

00:52all contacts of the cases are identified and contacted to reduce the risk of further

00:58spread, she added.
